ACQUIRED BRAIN INJURY PROGRAM
Independent Living Program
This program addresses the complex needs of people living with Acquired Brain Injury by assisting and encouraging daily living skills, communication skills, social skills, and increased involvement in the community. These skills combine to improve their level of independence and quality of life.
WHO CAN APPLY
This program is designed for adult survivors of an Acquired Brain Injury who have the desire to live independently and are willing to actively participate in the program. Applicants must be free of active substance abuse or involved in a treatment program.
SERVICES OFFERED
The services offered to these individuals may be on a one-to-one basis, in a small group setting or in the community.
HOW TO APPLY
Referrals to the program are made through the Acquired Brain Injury Program Coordinator at 786-0460.

- memory skills
- search for accommodations
- nutrition/ menu planning
- grocery shopping/ meal preparation
- laundry/ home management
- time management
- budgeting
- assistance in accessing other agencies
- other services may be carried out with the primary purpose to enhance one's life.
