EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PLAN & FEE-FOR-SERVICE COUNSELLING SERVICES
SIGN has contracts with a number of companies to provide counselling to their employees and families. The counselling is provided by several Registered Social Workers. Fee-for-service counselling for individuals, couples, and families is also available. SIGN is a member of Family Service Saskatchewan.
MARITAL, FAMILY & INDIVIDUAL COUNSELLING
A service provided to individuals, couples and/or families who are experiencing difficulties-clash personally, in their marriage, or family unit.
SERVICES PROVIDED:
INDIVIDUAL COUNSELLING:
A one-to-one counselling service addressing individual issues in areas such as; employment, finances, health, sexuality and loss of a partner.
FAMILY COUNSELLING:
Solution focused counselling provided on issues like; conflict resolution, child management, parenting, communication and relationship building.
MARITAL COUNSELLING:
Counselling provided to couples in areas of marital preparation, communication and conflict resolution.
REFERRALS:
Should individuals, families and/or couples require services SIGN is unable to provide, referrals are made to other community, government and non- government services.
PRINCIPLES OF OUR PROGRAM
CONFIDENTIALITY: All information obtained is recognized as being confidential and may only be shared with parents, lawyers or a judge; if a matter goes to court. No information may be released to another party without written consent.
ACCESSIBILITY: On any referral, our Program strives for contact within 24 hours. Our counselors are prepared to see our clients during the day, in the evenings or on weekends.
ELIGIBILITY: Services are available to any person who makes a request. Services are provided on a fee-for-service basis. There is no charge for intake and assessment of initial referrals.
THE SIGN COUNSELLING SERVICE consists of a contingent staff of professionally trained counselors and mediators, who bring a diversity of training and experience to the program.

SIGN has contracts with a number of companies to provide counseling services to their employees and their families. Counselling and treatment is strictly confidential and between the counselor and individual or family member.
For further information employees should contact their Human Resources Department, Supervisor, Shop Stewart, or a member of their EFAP Committee.
SHOULD YOU REQUIRE OUR SERVICES
1. Simply call 783-9409 or stop by the SIGN office at 83 North Street and ask to speak to the Counselling Intake Worker.
2. The Intake Worker will take a short history and set an appointment for you to meet with one of our counselors.
3. Counselling sessions take place at the SIGN office.
4. Most counselling situations require from one to five sessions; however, this may vary with the nature of the request.
